A new acronym for the childfree movement…GINK!

I came across an exciting article on Grist.org today entitled Say it loud: I’m childfree and I’m proud. The article covers many of the standard reasons the childfree have chosen to remain that way but with more of a focus on the ecological benefits. GINK as defined by author Lisa Hymas stands for

The Guide to Great Childfree Living.” Michelle Nolan has profiled the book and author in her article, “Bellingham psychologist’s advice book reflects her child-free life.” It’s nice to hear about another resource to help people understand the reasons people are childfree.
